Sunday i was wake up on 7.15am, after my breakfast I was took MRT to Yishu MRT to meet my student we went to take 856 to SAFYC.
Once we reached the place, I was asked them go and changed and i setter admin stuff. The manager was there yesterday, he was speaking to me in a very polite way and orientating me around the club and system i need to followed.
After we setter off everything, i was leave the student to take they are own paddle and vest, also carried the kayak down on the location that i has appointed. Of cause with me around to supervise.
After everyone puting down the kayak on the selected location, i was asking them to bring 3 kayaks down to the shore. I was asking them bring a kayak to the water and i share with them "Deep Sea Entry followed by Rafted x rescue". After they tried, I was asked them bring back the kayak back to the original location. I Was asked them each one of them to take a paddle and i share with them the "J-stroke and classic draw" the building blk is on the water, the blade power face facing the hip (Touch water and recovered), after that followed by pulling. After that everybody get it and go for lunch.
After lunch I was asked them to lauching to the sea, before that i was repeat with them the paddle sign. I was ask them to use the 'J stroke and classics draw' to formed the raft. most of them was did it a very difficult due to not use to it.. I was demostrate it once more, everybody got it and I asked them to formed one more raft. Finally all of them can make it and did a nice "J stroke and classics draw".
After that i followed up to shared with them the Stern rudder, I was explaned to them once, demostrate to them twice. most of them got it very fast and this time forming raft even faster. After the raft was formed, I was asked them to spaced up and then i shared with them ' Low Recovery ' the buiding blk: is elbow in the sq box and using the back face to tap the water. Followed by little aging, and every one was got it. After the Low recovery i was ask the student to beach up and took a 10mins break.
After the 10mins break, i was asked them to lauched off and start the "rafted x rescue" and everyone in the grp had to at least capsize once and everybody did it. After the " Rafted X rescues" it was lots of time left, I was took the opportunities to share with them the " X - Rescues ", they also did it.
Its abt 4.15pm, the washing point was used by the sailor. I was took this opporturnite to demo the 2 and 3 star skills to the student. And student was like wah... to me haha
After the washing point was cleared, I was asked them to washed kayak and paddle like previous week. After our bath i was asked the student to wait for me n i go and setter the admin stuff. like giving the result and also returned the key back to the staff. After that I was annouce and debrief them the result and performance of the day.
We was walked out to the guard room n took bus back to the Yishun MRT. And we went back home.
