Today actually i was wanted to helped a student for 3star skills, ended up with round ubin with the uni student
Why i went with them is because of they planing the ubin trip, like go against the tide and they plan to do the round ubin within 3hrs and that was impossible one. Also another reason is the water is super rough today.
ok the round ubin consist of 4 parts. I am just gone tru the some of the sutuation happening
1st part: Which we crossing the channel, when they crossing the channel is like taking their'er own sweet time. Very dangerous and that time the bog ship was almost in front of the last man abt 150m away only.
2nd parts: when we reach the back of the ubin, some of them purposily slow down and stop w/o reason and also doing the eskimo roll in between the sea.
3rd when we back to frog island all is like crossing the big channel on the way back to changi w/o much of sence of argency.
4th satuation: when they beached up, they taking they own sweet time. also some of them throwng the paddle toward the breach.
An I did brief them do not abuse the equipment and some of them still did it.
My boss MT saw it, he wait until everybody gather properly and he walked over and advised them. But i nver think abt it, one of the student was asking in front of a Lvel 4 coach and 5star kayaker ( MT) . whos this fellow? Wat a great one, MT was quite angry but he keep it very well.
Wat a shame, A 3 star trainee dont have a proper actitude. How to clear for the 3star assesment, one of them told me that they will going to thailand and paddle all the way back to singapore on this year may. If they actitude toward kayaking is not there, how do they going to paddle in such of the rough waves condition in South china Sea frm Thai to singapore?
Haiz... after the expedition with uni student, i suppose meet up 2 of my 1star student one. But due to they last min have something onz, we cancel our appointment.
Overall performance of the uni participants was good, but poor thing was they very week the sence of argency, because of that also may them self can paddle well.
