2star Attachment Part 2 ( Coach Asst)

Morning when I was reached the club abt 0930, Jeff told me that i would be attaching kok hoong for the 1st day of 2star.
On the 1st day of 2star he was same thing, rearrange the equipment, the general briefing was short cut then 1star.
After the Attendance mark already, then just have a short intro of 2star courses and asking the student where they took the 1star, still remember the orientation of the clubs. After that the short intro of parts of paddle and bouyancy vest and also sharing how to wear spray cover amd include the foot rest.
When every one get really, we asigning the kayak ( Dancer) to the student adjusting the footrest and testing on spray cover. once everybody is done we ask every student partner up and carry the toggle to the beach.
Once we reach the beach, we coach them how to ambaking and disambaking of the kayak, and capsize drill and emptying of water, every one of them need to try. So kok hoong he spliting in to 2 grps, me take 8 he take 9.
wat i realise of capsize drill compare to 1star is much more less detail, and the student know the stuff well. Most of them was doing quite well and go abt 1 or 2 of them let go the paddle all that, after a while all alrite le. Due to the condition bad we need to support the kayak for them for the lanching.
Abt the launching, After the capsize drill before we go for lunch. we break into 2 grps again and let the student try out the embaking and disembaking again. then we go for lunch.
After lunch we refresh all the 1star skills, paddling around the beach with forward stroke all that. After paddle a while we heat back to shore and coach them how to do the X rescues, and then we proceed to sea and try out. Most of them was like not use to the chopy condition, some of them even drop kayak or let go of kayak.
After the rescue we were paddle around the beach again, All was ever to paddle very well in the bad condition of the sea.
After our paddling, is almost time we gather back to the shore, and put all the paddle a side. then we emptied the water and we partnering up and carrying back to washing bay and washed the kayak.
After we washed the kayak and bath, we met at the banched for marking the attendance and given up the hand book, and then we call it a day.
2 star is much more different frm 1star, is more like DIY for the student.
